Southern rockers Whiskey Myers are taking things to the next level, as they announced Firewater Music Festival, an event curated by the group themselves.

Located in La Cygne, Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, the festival includes three days of camping and outdoor activities like archery, zip-lining and rock climbing, while days two and three will feature a lineup personally picked out by the members of Whiskey Myers.

“This festival is completely us,” the group tells Sounds Like Nashville. “We’re personally curating the lineup, plus it’s somewhere we’d want to hang out and the activities are things we enjoy doing. It’s really exciting to put our own stamp on every aspect of the planning, and we hope our fans really appreciate how ‘us’ it is when they come in October.”

The band really liked the idea of getting all of their people together for a wild weekend, which served as the inspiration for them to put on a festival of their own.

“We loved the idea of getting all of our people together in one place for a fun weekend,” they share. “Our friends, our fans, the other artists that will be joining us… this gives us the chance to get everybody in one place and raise a little hell!!”

Firewater Music Festival takes place Oct. 1 through Oct. 3, with the lineup to be announced. Fans get more details on ticket information and VIP packages at FirewaterMusicFestival.com.
