2-Year-Old Dolly Parton Fan Belts Out ‘Jolene’ in Adorable Video
Since posting just weeks ago, the video has garnered more than six million views.
Well if this isn’t the most adorable cover of a Dolly Parton song that we’ve ever seen! Meet two-year-old Sophia from Lansing, MI. This sweet baby girl is a big fan of the country queen and a song nearly 40 years older than herself, “Jolene.”
In a viral video posted to Facebook by her mom Brooke Kingsley, viewers can see Sophia singing along to the classic song while sitting and playing alone in her playroom.
“She’s always been very vocal,” Brooke told FOX 17 in Michigan. “I was actually just finishing cleaning the house and I could hear her in the playroom singing so I was like, ‘okay, I think she must be singing a little song,’ so I just kind of turned on my phone and kind of just walked in there and she was just singing ‘Jolene’ by herself.”
The proud parents, while still surprised about how popular the video has gotten, weren’t all that shocked about their toddler’s affinity for music as she’s always been around it.
“Music’s always been a big part of her growing up,” said dad Jordan.
The news station added that there’s no word on whether or not Dolly Parton has seen the video herself, but there are high hopes that one day she might.
