On Monday night (8/19), Jake Owen threw an epic Summer Block Party to celebrate his fourth consecutive No.1 “Anywhere With You” in Nashville, TN. Inviting fans to the free show via Twitter and Facebook, a massive crowd of 20,000 plus gathered to see the chart-topping vocalist perform and attend the largest No.1 party ever held at BMI. Reaching maximum capacity, fans lined the streets of Music Row and tailgated in nearby parking lots throughout the evening.
The festivities kicked off with new trio The Cadillac Three warming up the crowd followed by an onstage No.1 celebration for Jake’s “Anywhere With You,” co-written by Ben Hayslip, Jimmy Yeary and David Lee Murphy. Playing for over two hours, Jake delivered an electrifying performance and quickly became a trending topic on Twitter. As revealed earlier in the day, special guests Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett and Dee Jay Silver joined Jake onstage to show their support for him. Nashville’s hip food trucks lined up for the event and the beer was flowing.
Despite having part of his finger amputated earlier in the day, Jake put on a high energy show that fans won’t soon forget. “This was one of the most amazing nights of my life,” Jake said. “Ten years ago I stood in a crowd watching Kenny Chesney play and thought to myself, ‘I can do this.’ To look out at this incredible crowd and share this No.1 party with all of my fans is surreal.”
Jake’s brand new single, “Days of Gold,” is now at Country radio nationwide and will be featured on his album of the same title to be released December 3.
