2017 CMT Music Awards – Complete List of Winners
The 2017 CMT Music Awards were ones for the ages with Keith Urban taking home the top prize and an exciting list of performances.
The 2017 CMT Music Awards show resulted in the country party of the summer. Hosted by Nashville’s Charles Esten, the show featured the genre’s brightest stars that came together to celebrate a year of hard work and music.
Superstar performances and collaborations were littered throughout the show, bringing it to a whole new level. Kelsea Ballerini debuted her new single “Legends,” Luke Bryan and Jason Derulo did a stellar mashup of “Strip it Down” and “Want to Want Me” and Lady Antebellum closed the show with a confetti-filled collaboration with Earth, Wind & Fire.
Presenters throughout the show brought smiles to fans, including Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson explaining country music throughout the world and Katherine Heigl comparing video directing to childbirth.
Keith Urban stood out as the winner of the night racking up 4 trophies, including the night’s biggest prize of Video of the Year. Additionally, he had one of the most memorable performances of the night when he paired up with Carrie Underwood for a slowed-down arrangement of their current single “The Fighter.”
