Here Are This Year’s American Music Awards Country Nominees
Voting for the November 22 show is open now!
The American Music Awards are once again set to celebrate the best music of the year with a 2020 ceremony set for next month. And yesterday (October 26), the nominees were revealed.
Announced in part by pop star Dua Lipa on Good Morning America, R&B star The Weeknd and rapper Roddy Ricch tied to lead the field with eight nods each, while artists like Taylor Swift snagged four including Artist of the Year. Meanwhile, the nominees in the fan-voted country categories featured some surprises.
Dan + Shay lead all country nominees with nods in three categories — including the all-genre Collaboration of the Year category for “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber — while Luke Combs, Blake Shelton, Morgan Wallen and Maren Morris all received two. Plus, breakout star Gabby Barrett scored her first AMA nod for favorite female artist, continuing to build on the strength of her chart-topping “I Hope” debut.
