Chris Young, Kane Brown + More Join 2021 CMT Music Awards Lineup

Several more all-star performances and collaborations have been announced for the 2021 CMT Music Awards. CMT revealed today (5/26) a second round of artists taking the stage for its annual celebration of country music videos.

Joining the lineup for the fan-voted show will be BRELAND + Mickey Guyton, Chris Young + Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini + Paul Klein from LANY, Lady A + Carly Pearce + Gabby Barrett, Lauren Alaina + Jon Pardi, Luke Bryan, NEEDTOBREATHE + Carrie Underwood, and Thomas Rhett.

Breland and Guyton have previously collaborated, releasing the impactful song “Cross Country.” The song is also the name for Breland’s upcoming and first-ever headlining tour. Young and Brown will likely bring their hit “Famous Friends” to the stage while Alaina and Pardi perform “Getting Over You.” Lady A’s performance with Carly Pearce will give fans a sneak peek at their What A Song Can Do Tour. NEEDTOBREATHE and Underwood have collaborated several times recently, with the band’s Bear Rinehart joining the country superstar on her My Savior album. Underwood also jumped on the band’s latest record for a song called “I Wanna Remember.”

Previously announced performers for the CMT Awards include Brothers Osborne, Dierks Bentley, Chris Stapleton, Maren Morris, JP Saxe, Mickey Guyton, Gladys Knight, Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall.

The 2021 CMT Music Awards, hosted by Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini, will air live on Wednesday, June 9 at 8 p.m. ET on CMT, MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network and TV Land. They represent country music’s only fan-voted award show, and voting is now open at vote.cmt.com, continuing until Tuesday, June 1st at 3PM ET/2PM CT.
