It’s almost that time… “Country Music’s Party of the Year,” “The 49th Annual ACM Awards!”
Nashville is packing up and heading west to the fabulous Las Vegas for the week Vegas goes country! The Hosts:
Bluke returns! That’s right, for the second consecutive year, superstars Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan are set to host the ACM Awards! Fans should be prepared for a whole lotta laughs and the ladies should prep themselves for a whole lotta eye candy!
The Performers:
The star-studded performance lineup includes Dierks Bentley, Sheryl Crow, Lee Brice, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Hunter Hayes, Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith, Justin Moore, Kip Moore, Shakira, George Strait, Keith Urban, The Band Perry, Florida Georgia Line, and Lady Antebellum with legendary musician Stevie Nicks.
The Presenters:
The list of presenters includes David Nail, George Strait, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood, Thea Andrews, Guy Fieri, LL Cool J, Jewel, Olivia Munn, Nancy O’Dell, Chris O’Donnell, Clay Walker , Trisha Yearwood, and Garth Brooks.
Most Anticipated Moments:
“The 49th Annual ACM Awards” will surely be a night to remember. Here’s a rundown of the show’s most anticipated moments…
- Bluke: There’s no telling what Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan will come up with this year!
- The Band Perry’s “explosive” opening: The sibling trio is set to open the show with their latest hit single, “Chainsaw.” In an interview with The Tennessean, Kimberly Perry promised to bring a little bit of rock and roll to the show saying, “We’re doing a lot of head-banging and will live up to the name ‘country music’s hairband.'”
- Collaborations: The show will feature a variety of collaborations including a performance by Lady Antebellum with Stevie Nicks, Dierks Bentley with Sheryl Crow, Florida Georgia Line with Luke Bryan, and Blake Shelton with Shakira. Perhaps the evening’s most anticipated duet is the tribute to Merle Haggard featuring Miranda Lambert and George Strait.
- New music: A handful of artists are slated to debut new tunes on the show, including Brad Paisley performing his brand new single, “River Bank.”
- The crowning of Entertainer of the Year: The competition is heated! Will Luke Bryan once again take home the night’s biggest honor, or will the country music community bid farewell to George Strait’s touring career by awarding him the Entertainer of the Year trophy? Don’t miss it!
