Happy 8th anniversary to one of Nashville’s favorite duos! It’s no secret that Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are the ultimate power couple–she’s a country music superstar and he’s a retired NHL hockey player (and captain) for the Nashville Predators.
The two first met in 2008 after one of Underwood’s concerts. Fast forward two years when they tied the knot on July 10, 2010, at Georgia’s Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in front of more than 250 people. The couple has seen much success in eight years–professionally and personally–the most exciting milestone? Welcoming their son Isaiah in 2015.
To celebrate the couple’s wedding anniversary, take a look back at eight times when they were truly relationship goals.
Napa Valley Vacation
Napa Valley, you are my happy place! Amazing wine, beautiful scenery, wonderful friends, new places and a yummy dinner created by @chefchiarello and his apprentice, Isaiah Fisher! And that was just the first day here! Life is good…❤️❤️❤️ #napavalley #winetime #happy #IMarriedUp (And, thanks, @hunterpremo for letting me borrow your jacket!)
It can be hard to squeeze in a date night, let alone a vacation, when your schedule is as busy as Underwood and Fisher’s are, but they still managed to do so – even though they had to bring their son, Isaiah, along too!
He Can’t Sing Pretty… But She Can!
While Fisher may not have the singing ability that Underwood does, the fact that he still sings along to his wife’s songs on the radio is truly adorable. Maybe he’ll start taking voice lessons from Carrie now that he’s hung up his skates for good?
Can you say Halloween couples costume goals? While Underwood doesn’t eat meat, she’s okay with her husband “catchin’ deers” – as long as the deer is her!
Fisher to the Rescue!
If you’re stuck in a cornfield, who better to come to the rescue than your husband… even if you do have to cheat to get out of the maze!
Proud Hockey Wife
While Underwood has quite a few accomplishments herself, she has plenty to be proud of when it comes to Fisher’s accomplishments in the hockey world as well – especially since he spent his last full year of playing as captain of his team!
Love is in the Air
Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating the ones you love. Fisher and Underwood did just that when they carved out some time for a sweet dinner date.
But First… Let Me Take a Selfie!
Even Underwood and Fisher know that sometimes the best way to celebrate a vacation is to take a goofy selfie. They even make the “duck face” pose look good!
Lucky In Love
While Underwood thinks she got lucky by marrying Fisher, we think he got pretty lucky too!
