Baseball icon Alex Rodriguez and pop superstar Jennifer Lopez have made a big donation to Brad Paisley’s free grocery store, helping feed Nashville families in their time of need.

Making the announcement in pure-Paisley fashion on Facebook and Instagram, “B-Rad” explained that A-Rod and J-Lo are part of a company called Tiller & Hatch. It’s a brand of “high-quality frozen pressure cooker meals” which offer easy to make and nutritious meals in minutes, and the currently engaged celebrity couple have given 2,000 of those meals to The Store.

“There’s 2,000 meals going out to people, and the way this thing works, which is so great, all you gotta do is have a pressure cooker,” Paisley says while chatting with Rodriguez in the video. “You dump that in the pressure cooker and about eight minutes later I think — I could be wrong, read the directions and don’t just take my word for it — eight minutes later you have one of the greatest things you could ever cook your family.

“Thank you A-Rod and J-Lo for that generous gift,” he went on. “They’ve also given 60,000 of these Tiller & Hatch meals out to charity. Great people, keep it up. B-Rad, signing off.”

Founded by Brad Paisley and his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, in partnership with Belmont University in 2019, The Store is a year-round free grocery store serving individuals and families experiencing food insecurity and financial hardship in the Nashville area. Refusing to give up on that mission even during the COVID-19 pandemic, Paisley and The Store announced they would be distributing food to seniors via direct delivery for as long as social-distancing guidelines are in effect. Tiller & Hatch offers healthy and nutritious chef-prepared frozen meals designed to feed families at a reasonable price, with each meal kit including all the ingredients needed to prepare a meal for a family of four in a pressure cooker or on a stovetop. More information can be found at the company’s website.
