Sad news out of Hollywood as stars mourn the loss of 20-year-old Jackson Odell. Odell was found unresponsive in his room at sober living facility on Friday, June 8, according to the County of Los Angeles coroner’s office.

“The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother. He will always be a shining light and a brilliant, loving and talented soul. He had so much more to share. Odell was best known for his 2013-2015 role on ABC’s hit show The Goldbergs. He starred alongside rising country singer Hayley Orrantia, who posted her condolences on Instagram.

“So heart broken to hear about the passing of @jaxnodell. We were blessed with his presence numerous times on set of @thegoldbergsabc. He brought such high energy and joy to our tv family. Not only a talented actor but incredible musician. My prayers go out to his family and friends during this time. Rest easy, love. 💜” she captioned the series of photos.

His career also included small roles on Private Practice, Modern Family, iCarly and Arrested Development.

In addition to acting, Odell was country songwriter, having credits on the soundtrack for the 2018 release Forever My Girl. One of the songs, “Wings of an Angel,” was performed by country star Lauren Alaina.
