Alan Jackson, Mickey Guyton, Jennifer Nettles and Jimmie Allen will help celebrate America’s birthday by taking part in PBS’ 41st Annual A Capitol Fourth concert event.

“As families and friends reunite and the country begins to open up this Fourth of July, we plan to bring you an exciting program with the greatest fireworks display in the nation, performances by the biggest stars and patriotic favorites,” said Executive Producer Michael Colbert in a press release. “Make A Capitol Fourth your Independence Day celebration. We have something for everyone’s party.”

In addition to country music’s stars, the televised special will feature Vanessa Williams as host and performances from Jimmy Buffett, Cynthia Erivo, Gladys Knight, Pentatonix, Ali Stroker, Train, Laura Osnes, Auli’i Cravalho, Maestro Jack Everly conducting the National Symphony Orchestra and a Special Performance of the National Anthem by Renée Fleming. The special will also feature live fireworks over the Nation’s Capital skyline.

Planning for this year’s A Capitol Fourth has been underway for months already with much of the show to be pre-recorded to adhere to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The 41st Annual A Capitol Fourth will air on PBS Sunday, July 4, 2021 from 8-9:30 p.m. ET, as well as across the American Forces Network for troops stationed around the world. It will also be available to listen over NPR radio and will be streaming on Facebook, YouTube and pbs.org.

Several other country stars will help ring in America’s 245th birthday. Brad Paisley will headline Nashville’s Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th presented by Dr. Pepper. Reba will take part in the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular in New York City.
