Alan Jackson is headed back to his hometown for a special benefit concert, helping his small-town community recover from a devastating storm.

Announcing Where I Come From: Tornado Benefit Featuring Alan Jackson, the Country Music Hall of Fame member will return to Newnan, Georgia, on June 26, mixing music with help for his neighbors in need.

Headlining a night of chart topping throwback country, Jackson’s tornado benefit will take place at Newnan’s Coweta County Fairgrounds, with ticket prices starting at $49.99. Money raised will help pick up the pieces from a powerful EF-4 tornado which roared through the area on March 26, destroying at least 70 homes and damaging some 1,700 structures. Jackson and his wife, Denise were born, raised, met and married in Newnan, and the hit maker immediately sprung into action.

“After the tornadoes came through Newnan I knew that I wanted to do what I could to help my hometown. I started working on an idea to do some kind of benefit in Nashville to help those affected in Newnan, but then heard from a group of leaders in Newnan,” the superstar says. “I’m glad we came up with a way to bring this show to my hometown … and I’m happy to be helping the people who need it most.”

With more perfomers and additional details ocming soon, the event is presented by Cornerstone Building Brands and driven by Southtowne Chevrolet. Proceeds from Where I Come From: Tornado Benefit Featuring Alan Jackson will benefit the Coweta Community Foundation, and those wishing to help directly can donate here.

Tickets go on sale Friday (May 21) at 10 a.m. ET, and are available at AlanJacksonBenefit.com. Last Friday (May 14), Alan Jackson released a new album titled Where Have You Gone, his first new studio LP in six years.
