Coronavirus has ushered in a new-age of social gatherings and concerts taking the long road to returning. Country superstar Alan Jackson isn’t quite ready to put the brakes on performing live, however, as he’s announced two live drive-in concerts.

Announced early Tuesday morning (5/26), the singer announced his first-ever Small Town Drive-In concerts, presented by Pepsi. The shows are scheduled to take place on June 5 in Cullman, AL (on the open-field site of the long-running Rock the South festival) and June 6 in Fairhope, AL (on the grounds of Oak Hollow Farm).

Jackson’s Small Town Drive-In shows will have the icon playing to nearly 2000 cars. The shows will be in compliance with both CDC and Alabama state health guidelines to maintain social distancing. Those attending the shows will be required to stay in their cars and can order concessions via phone to be delivered.

Tickets will go on sale beginning Wednesday, May 27 at 10 a.m. CT. General admission begins at $99.99 for two passengers and additional passenger tickets can be purchased for $39.99. VIP parking is limited and available starting at $199.99. A portion of the proceeds from each show will go towards food relief efforts in the region.

Jackson toured earlier in 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic put the planet to a screeching halt in mid-March. The singer still has several tour dates scheduled for the remainder of the year and has not yet announced whether or not he will proceed with those performances.
