A radio station in West Palm Beach got quite the surprise on Wednesday morning (6/22) when country superstar Alan Jackson showed up at the station’s door. WIRK morning show host Sandra Foxx says she received a call from a local boat captain letting her know he was with Jackson outside.

“I opened the door and I froze,” Foxx says (via Country Aircheck). “I must have stared at Alan and his friend Frank for a good three-to-five seconds before I introduced myself and let them in….”

“The label didn’t even know he was coming,” WIRK program director John O’Connell adds. “He hung out for 40 minutes, took pictures with anybody and everybody and was just a complete gentleman. People will tell us they listen to the station, but Alan knew so much about who we were and what we do you could tell he really does listen to WIRK.”

During his visit, Jackson revealed that he’s teaming up with Zac Brown again! This time, Brown and Jackson will come together on “Dixie Highway,” a song penned by Alan.

“Zac and I are both from Georgia and the South and everything, so that’s kinda what it’s about,” Alan reveals. He also said that he has already laid down vocals for the song and that Zac will be going into the studio to do his soon.

“Long Way To Go,” Jackson’s brand new single, is available at iTunes now.
