Aldean, Chesney, Paisley, Shelton, Swift & More Featured in 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards Limited-Edition ‘ZinePak

The Academy of Country Music and ‘ZinePak are proud to announce the release of the 47th Annual ACM Awards Spotlight ‘ZinePak, a limited-edition package spotlighting 2012’s biggest nominees and brightest new stars. The collection pairs a 120-page magazine with a 20-song CD. It also includes a ballot with this year’s ACM Awards nominees and a collectible ACM magnet. The ‘ZinePak is available at Walmart stores nationwide and Walmart.com on March 20, leading up to the LIVE broadcast of the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 8:00 PM ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network. The package sells for $7.

“The Academy is delighted to be the exclusive country music partner with ‘ZinePak for the second consecutive year,” said Bob Romeo, Chief Executive Officer of the Academy of Country Music. “Country music fans told us last year how much they liked the product, and we’re happy to be able to offer them the incredible value of a CD, features on superstar and upcoming artists, games, and more – plus a ballot for fans to use while they watch the show on April 1.”

This is the second partnership between the ACM and ‘ZinePak. 2011’s inaugural ACM Awards ‘ZinePak release debuted at #19 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and sold more than 30,000 copies.

This year’s 20-song CD includes hits from all five nominees in this year’s ACM Entertainer of the Year category: Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, and Taylor Swift. It also includes songs from New Artist of the Year nominees Brantley Gilbert, Hunter Hayes, and Scotty McCreery, and New Artist of the Year semi-finalists JT Hodges, Justin Moore, David Nail, Jerrod Niemann, and Thompson Square. Songs from ACM Awards host Reba and rising stars Katie Armiger, Craig Campbell, THE FARM, Dustin Lynch, Kip Moore, and D. Vincent Williams round out the collection.

The 120-page magazine includes exclusive interviews with and profiles of more than 30 country stars. It also gives fans an inside look at the Academy, including the history behind the organization and the Awards, some of the most decorated artists in its history, and the important social and philanthropic activities happening year-round tied to ACM Lifting Lives. The package also includes a ballot for fans to choose their picks in each category ahead of the Awards broadcast on April 1, an ACM magnet, and a coupon for a FREE (up to $1.50) 2-liter of Dr Pepper TEN.

Production of the collection was overseen by New York-based entertainment company ‘ZinePak. ‘ZinePak co-founder Brittany Hodak said, “We were thrilled to partner with the Academy for the second straight year to give fans an up-close look at the Awards. We are incredibly grateful for the support of Dr Pepper TEN, and all of the artists, labels, mangers, and publicists who helped with this project. We hope fans will enjoy this year’s package even more than the first.”
