Keith Urban Receives ‘Golden Ticket’ To Hollywood in New ‘American Idol’ Promo
More than a decade into his career, Keith Urban has received a “golden ticket” to Hollywood!
In the latest “American Idol” promo spot, judge Harry Connick, Jr. awards the Australian singer with the “golden ticket” after hearing him sing for the first time. Check out the clip below.
When asked about working with Connick by Michigan news outlet MLive, Urban said, “He has such a wonderfully twisted view of things. I’m right in sync with that for some weird reason as well. We’re having a blast. He feels like my long-lost brother. He really does.” And you can tell from the brief commercial spot.
“American Idol” kicks off its 13th season on January 15 and 16 on FOX. Urban is returning for the second consecutive year. While this is Connick’s first year as a judge, he’s appeared on the show previously as a mentor. Jennifer Lopez is also returning to the judges table after taking a year off. Former judge Randy Jackson will appear on ‘Idol’ as a mentor to the contestants.
