Thoughts and prayers are being sent to the America’s Morning Show team after they were involved in a serious auto accident late Monday night (Feb. 27).

The cast, comprised of Chuck Wicks, Kelly Ford and Ty Bentli, as well as their producer Glen Johnson, were on their way from Columbus, MS to New Orleans to appear as Grand Marshalls in today’s Mardi Gras Parade when their car hydroplaned and rolled off the road.

According to a statement posted to Facebook by NASH FM, everyone is alright and has been released from the hospital, excluding Wicks, who remains under a physician’s care.

“While driving through a torrential rainstorm, their car struck a puddle and hydroplaned, causing it to roll twice and end up in a ditch,” the statement reads. “They were all hospitalized in Hattiesburg, but they’ve been released, with the exception of Chuck, who was held over for some additional observation. They’re sore for the ordeal, but by all reports so far, they are fortunately going to be OK.”

Kelly Ford later shared an update, as well as a photo of the damaged vehicle. “We are all genuinely feeling lucky to be alive today,” she wrote. “Thanks for your sweet prayers, messages and texts. They mean more than you could ever know.”

No word on when the team will return to the airwaves, but we hope they recover quickly.
