Two years after releasing her debut solo album American Middle Class, Angaleena Presley is gearing up to release her second album, Wrangled.

Dropping April 21 via Mining Light Music/Thirty Tigers, the full-length project will feature 12 songs co-written by the former Pistol Annies member. Among the tracks is a song called “Cheer Up Little Darling,” a song Presley wrote with acclaimed singer/songwriter Guy Clark (Johnny Cash, Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney). The track was the last song Clark completed before his passing in the spring of last year.

Angaleena has teased the project over social media throughout the past year, having finished recorded in June 2016.
“Waiting to go in the studio to make record feels similar to the last few days of pregnancy. I’m gonna pop on Tuesday! #freakishanticipation,” she wrote on Twitter, with the follow up “That moment when you know it’s over and that it’s just begun… #wrangled #inthecan #dunzo” just a few days later.

Wrangled follows Presley’s previous solo project American Middle Class and her two albums as a member of the all-girl power trio, Pistol Annies. The Annies (Presley, Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe) released their critically-acclaimed passion projects Hell on Heels and Annie Up in 2011 and 2013, respectively, before breaking for an indefinite hiatus.
