Country star Luke Combs and his wife Nicole have announced they are expecting their first child, making the news public in social media posts Thursday (January 20).
Sharing a series of maternity pics with fans on Instagram, the “Doin’ This” singer revealed with pride and excitement that a baby boy is on the way.
“Here we go y’all! Lil dude Combs is coming this Spring!” the hit maker wrote. “Couldn’t be more excited to start a family with this babe. It’s gonna be a hell of a ride @nicolejcombs.”
Combs’ wife Nicole shared the same photo series, writing that the next year may the best they’ve ever had — which is saying quite a bit as Combs is one of country’s brightest and most successful current stars. The couple can be seen holding a sonogram, as the mom and dad to be cradle Nicole’s belly.
“This may be the best year yet 🤍,” she wrote. “Baby BOY combs coming spring 2022!! we are so incredibly excited & thankful.”
As the couple shared, they expect the baby’s arrival this spring. They were married in an intimate beach ceremony in 2020 which became the subject of Combs’ hit video, “Forever After All,” and Nicole has reportedly been the inspiration for many of Combs’ most romantic hits, including tracks like “Beautiful Crazy.” They have been dating since 2016.
Combs is the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, and he just wrapped up the massive What You See Is What You Get Tour in December. Many country stars weighed in with congratulations for the couple, with at least one friend keeping it real — father of two, Kane Brown.
“BRO!!!! Congrats my guy!” Brown wrote. “Gonna be a lot harder to jump on call of duty now though 😂🙌❤️”
