Backroad Anthem Release ‘Torn’ Music Video To Honor Craig Strickland

Following the untimely death of Craig Strickland, his Backroad Anthem band mates have been sharing some very personal memories of their dear friend.

The group posted the previously unreleased music video for their song, “Torn,” on Facebook as a tribute to Strickland.

“Last year we shot a music video for our song, ‘Torn.’ We wanted to finally release the video and share with everyone so you could have a chance to see Craig doing what he loved. We are so proud of how it turned out, and we know Craig was too,” they wrote.

The band also shared a group picture to express their sadness and condolences for the family following the discovery of Strickland’s body.

“Today we lost our brother, our best friend, our bandmate. Craig was the most amazing person whose passion for life couldn’t be matched. Thankful to know he fought his way from the water to a hill and was lying in the shape of a cross on his back looking up to his Heavenly Father,” they wrote. “We pray today for God to wrap his arms around Randy, Joanne, Helen, and the family, and to help us through this extremely difficult time. We want to thank every single friend, fan, and family member for your thoughts, prayers, and love. Today he is smiling down on us and we know he will always be with us. He will always be here to help guide us along the way. We love you Craig Strickland and we will forever miss you!”

Strickland was found dead after embarking on a hunting trip with his friend Chase Morland on Sunday, December 27. The pair’s boat was found capsized on Monday and Morland’s body was discovered shortly after. After a week of searching, rescuers found Strickland’s body on the shoreline of Kaw Lake, north of where his boat capsized.
