Barrett Baber and Dustin Christensen Have Epic Battle Round on ‘The Voice’

The Voice - Season 9

The Voice battle rounds premiered Monday night (10/12) and finished with an exciting duet between Team Blake Shelton’s Barrett Baber and Dustin Christensen.

Both singers earned a four-chair turn when they auditioned, so it was sure to be a stellar face off. The pair took on Marc Cohn’s “Walking in Memphis.” Shelton told them that they both have raw power, but need to channel it differently. The two were very evenly matched and their coach was unable to decide. Unfortunately for Shelton, The Voice does not allow draws and he was forced to pick just one contestant.

Baber kept his spot on Team Blake, but it wasn’t goodbye quite yet for Christensen. Both Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani want to keep Christensen, but in the end, he chooses Team Adam for his new home.
