Go Behind-The-Scenes of Dolly Parton’s GRAMMYs Rehearsal
This performance is going to be amazing!
The 61st annual GRAMMY Awards air this Sunday, Feb 10 on CBS. One of the most anticipated moments of the night is the tribute to musical icon and country legend, Dolly Parton.
The tribute performance comes as an encore to Friday night’s (Feb. 8) MusiCares Person of the Year Gala, where Parton will be honored for her musical and philanthropic legacy.
“Dolly Parton has always been and continues to be a courageous trailblazer and indomitable inspiration for creators and artists—so for us to have the opportunity to honor her at our annual MusiCares Person of the Year gala is to pay tribute to a true pillar of strength and someone who we all look up to and cherish,” Recording Academy President and CEO Neil Portnow said. “Dolly also knows the power of philanthropy and she has used her stardom to contribute to a wide range of causes from natural disasters to education and literacy programs.”
As both events near by the minute, the artists taking part in both performances posted photos from their rehearsals with the country icon.
Little Big Town, who will be hosting the MusiCares gala, shared a black and white photo from the rehearsals, writing “There’s no way right now to express what this means to us. @dollyparton you’re a treasure.”
Kacey Musgraves added a few snaps to her Instagram stories, writing “This weekend is gonna leave my sparkly but dead,” with a photo of her and Parton arm in arm.
