Ben Haggard and Girlfriend Welcome Baby Boy

The Merle Haggard family line lives on in a sweet little boy named Liam James. Born to Haggard’s son Ben and Ben’s longtime girlfriend, Jeyda Beyzade, the new addition made his debut in the world on Friday, June 29.

To announce his arrival, Ben took to Instagram to share a precious father-son bonding moment.

“Our lives changed for the better yesterday,” he captioned the black & white snap.

Beyzade also shared an update to her Facebook post, sharing that while everyone is happy and healthy, their delivery journey was anything but according to plan.

“After 48 hours of attempting a natural birth, I was rushed into an Emergancy C section. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done and I tried everything until my options were exhausted to have him naturally,” she wrote. “It got really scary and I wasn’t doing well yesterday but never the less we had a healthy baby boy! Liam James Haggard was born at 2:13pm weighing 9 pounds and 6 ounces. Daddy is one happy man, I couldn’t have done it without him.. he was in it for the long haul. I feel so blessed to have these two and to finally hold our baby boy.”

The couple of seven years has been sharing their pregnancy journey along the way, having announced the expansion of their family in November.

Throughout the nine months, photos of Beyzade have been shared, including a sweet maternity photo shoot. During the shoot, Ben and Jeyda couldn’t help but pay homage to the new dad’s own father by placing a Merle Haggard hat on her growing belly.
