Big Valley Jamboree Will Return In 2010

Big Valley Jamboree

The annual Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta, Canada will return for it’s 18th year in 2010. Rumors claiming that the event has been canceled after this year’s disaster prompted organizers to announce that the show will go on next year.

“There has been a great deal of discussion and speculation about whether Big Valley Jamboree would return after the tragic events at our 2009 concert,” said Larry Werner, Producer of Big Valley Jamboree. “After careful deliberation and thought, we are pleased to announce that we are moving ahead with plans for our 2010 Big Valley Jamboree weekend. We believe that hosting Big Valley next summer will play a vital part in the healing process for our fans, volunteers and organizers, and the entire country music community.”

The 2010 Big Valley Jamboree will once again be held over the August long weekend in Camrose. The 2010 event promises to be the biggest and best Jamboree ever, with the appearance of artists that include Kevin Costner and Modern West, who was also scheduled to perform at this year’s event.

Costner stated, “the band and I feel an emotional obligation to return for the fans of the Festival, even after two of our guys had been hurt in the storm” and “We hope this will help complete the circle that has been broken prior to us taking the stage in August. We are looking forward to returning and playing our music for the people of Alberta.”
