‘Big Vinny’ Vincent Hickerson Marries Longtime Girlfriend

“Big Vinny” Vincent Hickerson (formerly of the Trailer Choir) recently wed his longtime girlfriend, Lori Diaz. After proposing during a private date at the Grand Ole Opry, the couple officially tied the knot on October 11 in Goodlettsville, TN.

The sunset ceremony took place at the 225-acre Smiley Hollow Farm. The bride handcrafted every detail of the wedding including the flowers, the table linens, and the programs. Lori wore a beautiful ivory lace Maggie Sottero gown while the groom showed off his 200-pound weight loss in a Calvin Klein suit. Nicole Johnson, a “Team Blake” contestant from “The Voice,” sang Miranda Lambert’s “Makin’ Plans” as guests arrived. Brennon, Lori’s 10-year-old son and the Best Man, read a passage about true love from “The Velveteen Rabbit.”

Of the 250 guests in attendance, Hickerson’s former band mate Marc “Butter” Fortney attended with his wife Emily Robertson, of Carter’s Chord. Other guests include Vinny’s Biggest Loser cast mate Joe Mitchell, Craig Campbell, and songwriters Keith Follese (“Something Like That” by Time McGraw) and Jim Femino (“Just Got Started Loving You” by James Otto).

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed the reception, where they were treated to a true southern meal that included BBQ chicken and pork as well as mac & cheese, cornbread, and homemade banana pudding. Campbell performed “When She Grows Up,” a song to be featured on his upcoming album, during the father daughter dance.

Vinny summed up the day by telling CountryMusicIsLove, “I used to wonder what true love looked like, and now I know because I am blessed to wake up beside my true love everyday.”

We wish the couple many years of happiness!
