Billy Ray Cyrus and Wife Call Off Divorce (Again)
Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife of 19 years, Tish Cyrus, have reconciled and called off their divorce.
Tish filed for divorce just last month in an L.A. Superior Court.
“We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together,” the couple said in a statement released today. “We’ve had rough times but we both realized we didn’t want to be another statistic and wanted to make it work.”
It appears Billy Ray and Tish have already been working on their relationship. The pair was spotted at lunch together just 10 days after Tish filed for divorce, and over the weekend, Tish posted the photo above on Instagram with the caption, “Date Night.”
“We both went into couples therapy – something we haven’t done in 22 years of being together, and it’s brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways,” they continued. “Tish also said marriage can be really hard especially after 22 years of being in entertainment.”
This isn’t the first time the couple has been down the path to divorce. In 2010, Billy Ray filed for divorce, but ended up dropping the filing in early 2011.
“I’ve dropped the divorce,” the singer revealed on an episode of “The View.” “I want to put my family back together — Things are the best they’ve ever been.”
Billy Ray and Tish have three biological children together – Miley, 20, Braison, 19, and Noah, 13. BRC also adopted Brandi, 26, and Trace, 24, Tish’s children from a previous relationship.
