Blake Shelton Announces New Single, ‘Came Here To Forget’

It’s been a year and a half since Blake Shelton fans have gotten new music from the superstar, but the wait is almost over!

On Tuesday, March 8, the singer will release “Came Here To Forget,” the first single from his upcoming 12th studio album.

“I’ve had a lot of music over the years but I don’t think I’ve ever had a song before that’s such a direct look into my life,” said Shelton of the song written by Craig Wiseman and Deric Ruttan. “That’s why I’m so excited about this particular song.”

The announcement comes just days after Shelton kicked off the 10th season of NBC’s The Voice and a week before he’s set to host the Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards. The Oklahoma native is also currently out on his Winter Tour Presented by Gildan with a show tonight in Memphis, and back-to-back shows in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena this weekend.
