Forget American Idol – two alums are moving over to NBC’s The Voice for season 15 of the hit show. Joining the cast for the upcoming season will be Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson as they go head-to-head against one another and fellow coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

“We are so excited to welcome back Kelly and Jennifer, two dynamic forces who bring undeniable soul, passion, and inspiration as coaches,” NBC Entertainment Alternative and Reality Group President Paul Telegdy said in a statement (quote via Entertainment Weekly). “They each have a unique understanding of what it’s like to be in the artists’ shoes. Bringing these two voices together with Blake and Adam for season 15 is sure to make this one of our best seasons yet!”

Hudson also shared the news when she ‘stole’ Clarkson’s phone for a quick video posted to Instagram. Eager to sit side-by-side with the Texas native, Hudson could hardly contain her excitement about their return for the next season.

“Guess who’s coming back to The Voice? Me… With my girl, Kelly,” she said before busting out a version of “Since U Been Gone.” “Girl, I am back, with you, sitting side-by-side. This is gonna be a show, so y’all might want to get ready…”

Season 15 of The Voice will join NBC’s fall lineup of shows.

The series will wrap its current and 14th season in the coming weeks, with the semifinal round airing Monday, May 14.
