Blake Shelton answers a few questions about his upcoming nuptials to pop star and duet partner Gwen Stefani in a recent interview with Extra — and prove’s he’s a hopeless romantic in the process.

Speaking with Extra’s Cheslie Kryst during a video call with all four coaches of NBC’s The Voice, the funny man country star says he and Stefani have not set a date for their wedding just yet — but only because they want to do the ceremony big.

“We want our families to be there, her mom and dad, my mom and step-dad, and we don’t have a clue when we’re going to be able to mingle again. So that is all we’re waiting on,” Shelton explains, adding a smitten caveat on the end.

“I would marry her when we’re done with this interview if I could,” he said.

The lovebirds may not know when they’ll tie the knot, but it seems like they might have at least one piece of the puzzle figured out — and fittingly, it’s the music. That’s because hit maker Miley Cyrus offered up her services as wedding singer in a tweet in January, and Shelton figures “Why not?”

“Oh, man, who is going to turn down an offer like that?” he said with a smile.

We’ll stay tuned to find out more about the couple’s wedding plans, and the rest of the interview features a fun back and forth between Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas. But in the meantime, they’re celebrating some big career happenings, too. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were nominated for the ACM Award for Music Event of the Year for their duet, “Nobody But You” (Stefani’s first ACM nod), and Shelton goes back to work on season 20 of The Voice March 1.
