Blake Shelton may call Oklahoma home, but he’s taking on the role of the helpful neighbor as he will dedicate his time to co-host the Nashville part of the Hurricane Harvey Benefit Telethon held on September 12.

Shelton will reportedly team up with Tennessee native Reese Witherspoon to emcee the special performances put on by the charitable event in the heart of Music City. The telethon will also air coverage from both Los Angeles and New York, with celebrities stepping in left and right to provide relief efforts to victims who lost everything after the massive hurricane made landfall.

Jamie Foxx will be the face of the L.A. coverage for the telethon, and Hilary Duff is reportedly set to join alongside him to represent her homeland of Texas. In New York, former NFL star and Good Morning America host Michael Strahan signed up for the cause with hopes of snagging former Destiny’s Child member and Houston resident Kelly Rowland as his co-host.

Although the details regarding the telethon are limited at this time due to scheduling conflicts and last minute arrangements, the special is set to air on television during September at a primetime hour. The program will only last for one hour, making time a precious entity for raising all the funds they can to provide an extra hand to the devastation in Houston and the surrounding areas.

The Houston Telethon is in great hands, though, as the organizers are the same ones who pieced together the Manchester One Love concert. That specific benefit sought out help from some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry including Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Niall Horan, Pharrell Williams and of course, Ariana Grande, as the headliner.

More details regarding the Hurricane Harvey Houston Telethon will be revealed in the next coming days, with Nashville performers up in the air at this moment. The telethon will air on major networks during the primetime schedule on September 12.
