Blake Shelton Looking Forward To Tonight’s CMA Awards
It’s been seven years since Blake Shelton has attended a CMA Award show as a nominee and tonight he’s up for four awards in the categories of Male Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, Music Video of the Year and Single of the Year” for his No. 1 hit with longtime friend Trace Adkins.
“I get asked what has changed in my career to bring so much attention to me this year and I always say it takes a great song,” said Shelton. “That is what ‘Hillbilly Bone’ is” a great song. I am glad I get to share this with Trace too. It makes all the recognition even sweeter.”
In regards to his Male Vocalist nomination Shelton said, “That one blows me away. I thought my year couldn’t get better with the induction into the Grand Ole Opry, but then it did. It is such an honor to be recognized among artists like Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, George Strait and Keith Urban. I’m just really glad that Miranda can’t be nominated in this category!”
Shelton will also be performing on the 44th Annual CMA Awards” “Country Music’s Biggest Night” which will broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on the ABC Television Network tonight, November 10th, at 8:00 PM/ET.
