Country favorite and longtime co-star of The Voice Blake Shelton is used to welcoming new coaches to the show — he’s been on every one of its 17 seasons, after all. But with the upcoming addition of pop superstar Nick Jonas, the “Nobody But You” singer is dealing with some unexpected emotions.

In a laugh-out-loud promotional video released on Monday (January 27), Shelton first claims he doesn’t even know who the famous Jonas brother is — but his secret man crush is quickly revealed. Confronted by fellow judges John Legend and Kelly Clarkson, Shelton’s coy game playing comes to an end, his true feelings betrayed by the straight-up shrine he’s constructed to Jonas in his dressing room.

“Ok, maybe I’ve heard of him,” Shelton admits, just as Jonas walks up to say hello.

Season 18 of The Voice begins February 24 on NBC. Country singer Jake Hoot took home the win last time around, making Clarkson the defending coaches champ. Shelton and his girlfriend — former Voice co-judge Gwen Stefani — performed their new duet at last night’s Grammy Awards.
