Blake Shelton on Miranda Lambert: ‘She’s My Life’
As country music’s “it couple,” Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are living their lives under a microscope. Each week, the tabloids are reporting something new about the Shelton’s, with the latest reports claiming the pair is headed for divorce.
This morning, Shelton, along with fellow “The Voice” coaches Usher, Shakira, and Adam Levine, spoke with TODAY’s Carson Daly about their rising fame and the off-camera stresses that come along with it. Shelton took advantage of the interview as a chance to set the record straight about his relationship with Lambert.
“I would take this opportunity to say, to clear the air,” the “My Eyes” singer said. “You might pick up a magazine or a tabloid any day of the week that’ll say something about my relationship with Miranda, that it’s in turmoil. … And the truth is, I’ve never felt a stronger bond with … not only with her but with any other human being in my life. … Miranda and I — she’s my life.”
This interview comes just days after the pair laughed off the rumors on Twitter.
“Me & @mirandalambert are reading about our separation,” Shelton wrote. “I hope I get all the liquor in the divorce!”
Lambert chimed in with a joke of her own. “AAND the imaginary baby?!” she asked.
It just goes to show…you can’t believe everything you read in those tabloids!
