Blake Shelton on Taylor Swift’s Entertainer of the Year Win: ‘She Deserved It’

Taylor Swift took home the ACM Award for Entertainer of the Year last night for the second consecutive year. The award, which was voted on by a combination of professional ACM members and fans, is the top-honor of the evening. Fellow Entertainer of the Year nominee and co-host Blake Shelton says he wasn’t surprised Swift was awarded the trophy.

“She deserved it,” Shelton said. “When those announcements came out who was nominated, I remember saying right then — I don’t think I said I hope Taylor wins because I hoped I would win — but Taylor deserves it. I don’t think there is anyone with half a brain that would say otherwise. She has done a lot for us in country music. We are lucky enough in country music to call her one of us.”
