Award winning country radio personality and American Idol mentor Bobby Bones has written an inspiring new children’s book, announcing the details of Stanley the Dog and His First Day of School.

Based around an empowering story about Bones’ real life dog, Stanley, the picture-filled book is all about overcoming fear and embracing the differences that make us special. It follows Stanley as he em-“barks” on his first day at Doggy Day Care, and the newly-engaged radio host says he hopes the adventure will teach kids a valuable lesson.

“It’s about how it’s ok if you don’t fit in at first,” Bones write on Instagram. “And how all your differences make you great!”

Bobby Bones is already a two-time New York Times bestselling author — having previously published I’m Not Lonely If You’re Reading This and Fail Until You Don’t: Fight Grind Repeat — and says he’s already got this new project written and ready to go. But fans will have learn to sit, stay, and wait, because Stanley the Dog and His First Day of School isn’t expected to come out until the summer of 2022.

Stanley the Dog and His First Day of School is illustrated Stephanie Laberis, and published by David Linker at HarperCollins. Pre-order information is coming soon, and Bobby Bones is also set to star in a new travel-TV show titled Breaking Bobby Bones, coming soon to National Geographic.
