DANCING WITH THE STARS - "Las Vegas Night" - After taking in the music and culture of New York City on last night's show, the 12 remaining couples are set to celebrate the allure of Sin City and take a gamble on dancing to some of the city's most iconic songs as Las Vegas Night comes to "Dancing with the Stars," live TUESDAY, OCT. 2 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. (ABC/Eric McCandless) BOBBY BONES, SHARNA BURGESS

Week two night two of Dancing with the Stars was a tough one for country representatives Bobby Bones and John Schneider. The night, themed around Las Vegas, was a rough go-around for the talk show host, who earned his lowest score yet, and the actor/singer, who landed in the bottom two.

Bones had a stand-out night on Monday, Oct.1, when he Foxtrotted his way into the judges’ hearts. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba called him “rough around the edges,” but also “authentically joyous.” Her comments were along similar lines for his Vegas dance, though she wanted his dance skills to shine through more.

“You’re very entertaining, but I would love to ask for you to tone it down just a notch so we can see a little bit more of the form. You have the stature to be a really good dancer and all that energy, if we could just channel it like Sharna said, I’d really love to see that. Don’t lose your joy though,” she said.

Head judge Len Goodman was more pleased with the performance, adding, “It really had the Las Vegas vibe. You had a bit of quickstep down the street. A bit of Siegfried and Roy. And plenty of entertainment. Well done.”

The performance earned the pair a 19 out of 30, a score disappointing to Bones.

“Sorry I didn’t get better scores tonight. I tried hard. And thought I improved. And will try harder next week. Thanks for calling and voting for me,” he later tweeted, to which his partner Sharna Burgess responded “Well I say you Improved, and I say you should’ve got higher scores, and as you know… I’m never wrong 😉 proud of you tonight.”

Embracing the Sin City theme, John Schneider and his partner Emma Slater pulled off incredible Elvis Presley impersonations during their high-energy jive. Battling back and forth to see who was more “Elvis,” the two danced their way around the ballroom like pros.

“I know it wasn’t quite as good as last night’s performance, but I think you did Elvis proud. I want to tell you one thing…watch your arms. They aren’t holding Emma. They’re little. You keep doing little arms. You’re a big man. You’re like a strapping, handsome man. Own it a little bit more,” said Inaba.

Added Bruno Tonioli, “I thought it was so much fun, but you lost a little bit of jive in translation, but as a number, and as an entertainment, really good.”

The routine earned Schneider and Slater a 20 out of 30, but combined with their previous night’s score and the fan vote, the pair landed in jeopardy.

As the show concluded, fans learned the fate of the dancers. Schneider and Slater went up against Paralympics blind skier Danielle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev in the bottom two, where Umstead was ultimately sent home.

Both Schneider and Bones will have another chance to prove themselves when Dancing with the Stars returns on Monday on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
