Media mogul Bobby Bones has big plans for his future on TV, signing an exclusive television development deal with BBC Studios’ Los Angeles production arm.

Already a household name thanks to gigs on Dancing With the Stars and American Idol, the new deal will put Bones in front of the camera even more — and also behind it. Along with potentially hosting “original unscripted series, along with scripted projects, reflecting his wide range of diverse interests,” Bones will also act as an executive producer to develop new show ideas as well. In an Instagram post about the news, he even teased the possibility of a cooking show with his fiancée, Caitlin Parker.

Count the deal as the expansion of an already-fruitful relationship, as the country radio host is already working with BBC Studios to film the unscripted series, Breaking Bobby Bones. Slated to debut on National Geographic, the series sounds like an updated version of the popular Dirty Jobs series, as it follows Bones across the country to “meet hard working hometown heroes with unique jobs, skills and abilities who put him to the test to see if he has what it takes to keep up with them.” Bones first worked with BBC when he won Dancing With the Stars, which is produced by the team for ABC.

“I’m thrilled to be able to collaborate with the team at BBC Studios on this new venture,” Bones says in a statement. “From working with them on Dancing with the Stars, and now Breaking Bobby Bones, I know first-hand the incredible creativity and integrity they bring to every project.”

“Bobby Bones’ life story is a testament to his strong work ethic and perseverance,” said Valerie Bruce, General Manager of BBC Studios, Los Angeles Productions. “The way in which he overcame adversity to achieve his own version of the American dream is an inspiration. His ability to connect with audiences is powerful, as he proved on Dancing with the Stars. Bobby Bones is a creative force in his own right, and I am thrilled to officially welcome him to our team to jointly develop bespoke projects that reflect his unique brand and personality.”

Along with the new job, Bobby Bones will continue to mentor hopeful music stars on American Idol and host The Bobby Bones Show on iHeartRadio stations across the country.
