BobbyCast Recap: Bobby Chats With Jana Kramer About Traveling to Canada, Her Quarantine Playlist

On episode #235 of his podcast the BobbyCast, Bobby Bones, along with Eddie and Mike D, chatted about their favorite music movies. Mike, otherwise known as “Movie Mike” from his podcast, Movie Mike’s Movie Podcast, listed his top three music movies as This Is Spinal Tap, La Bamba and Straight Outta Compton. Bobby and Eddie also chatted about a few of their favorite music movies including Ray, Searching For Sugar Man, Walk The Line, A Star Is Born, and more.

For the second half of the podcast, Bobby chatted with Jana Kramer about all the events surrounding coronavirus. Jana told Bobby she flew to Canada this past weekend to shoot a movie, but quickly had to turn around and come home due to the growing concern.

“I got on my flight with my family and the kids because I was advised that everything was fine there,” she says. “Then some more cases started popping up in Canada and I started to get really nervous, and they started talking about borders closing.”

Jana goes on to say that she shot one scene for the movie before the production team advised her to go back to the states. She says all their flights back to the states were cancelled, but luckily she has a friend with a private plane who allowed Jana and her family to use it to get home.

“I feel a little silly that I was so naive about it,” she shares. “I even went on my Instagram, and was like, ‘Oh my gosh. I’m not going to live in fear. I’m going to Canada.’ And then I look back on that, and I’m like, ‘You’re an idiot.’”

“It’s so fluid, though, that you had people saying, even three days ago, ‘Hey, go out to a bar or club. Who cares. Go live your life.’ But now they’re going, ‘Oops, we were wrong.’” adds Bobby.

Later in the conversation, Bobby asked Jana to share the top five songs she would put on her quarantine playlist. For her first song, she chose James Taylor’s “Fire And Rain.”

“It’s my go-to for any time I have an anxiety attack. It brings me right back to home,” she says of the song.

For her second pick, Jana decided to go with “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman, a song that she and her daughter dance to together. Her third quarantine song is Eminem’s “Cinderella Man.”

“It’s just so good,” she says. “It hypes me up. Let’s just do it. Stop the panic, stop the anxiety and just go.”

For her fourth quarantine song, Jana chose “Come Away With Me” by Norah Jones.

“That’s my chill, in the bath, glass of wine at the end of the day,” she says.

And for her last song on her quarantine playlist, Jana appealed to Bobby and Eddie by choosing their new Raging Idiots tune, “Wash Your Hands.”

“I’m telling you, it’s so good,” she says. “I play it for the kids, and they’re obsessed with it.”
