When Brad Paisley saw the devastation from the fires and mudslides in Montecito, California, he knew he wanted to be a part of the recovery process for the luscious beach town.

With famous residents such as Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah calling the area home, Paisley teamed up with a group of some familiar faces as ‘The Second Responders’ to give back to the community after fixing things up ready for visitors to come back just weeks after the natural disasters.

It’s especially important for the country singer, as the Santa Barbara coastline reminds him of the special times he spent there with his wife in the early stages of their marriage. Noting at its Californian beauty, he wanted to help the towns recuperate from their horrific weather incidents.

“Kim and I fell in love with Santa Barbara and the Montecito area on our honeymoon.  It feels like small town America by the sea,” said Paisley in a press release. “With this concert I hope to raise awareness, spirits and money for the region that’s recovering from the devastating mudslides and fires. I hope people come out and actually make it an experience with us and visit some of the local shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops.”

Proceeds made from ticket sales at the Central Coast show will go back into the community to local organizations who helped out in the process of revitalizing the area to its glory.

The show will be held at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Saturday, May 12, with tickets going on sale for the concert on Saturday, March 24, at 12 p.m. PST through AXS.
