A pair of Grammy winners went back to their street-jamming roots over the weekend in Seattle, as Americana star Brandi Carlile and rock icon Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters set up shop for a little busking session.

In a video posted to Carlile’s Facebook page, the By the Way, I Forgive You hit maker can be seen taking lead on The Beatles’ classic “Let It Be,” while Grohl plays guitar and Carlile’s longtime collaborators Phil and Tim Hanseroth join in. The impromptu street concert took place at Seattle’s Pike Place Public Market, which Carlile noted on Instagram is the same spot where she used to busk before her career picked up steam.

Carlile gave a bit of advance warning to fans in the area, posting that she and Grohl were on their way, and it seems like the musical meet up was part of a weekend the singer-songwriters spent together, riding ATVs and just hanging out.

According to The Seattle Times, their busking session lasted about 20 minutes and ended with Grohl taking lead on the Foo Fighters’ anthemic “Times Like These,” which Carlile also posted to Facebook.

There’s no word on how much money they made in tips. But for those who were there to witness it, the moment will probably go down as a priceless memory.
