Brantley Gilbert and Wife Welcome Baby Girl, Braylen Hendrix

Brantley Gilbert is now the father of two after his wife Amber gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Braylen Hendrix was born at 1:18 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9 at Piedmont Hospital in Athens, Georgia, reports PEOPLE.

“It’s such a blessing for us to welcome Braylen and both momma and baby girl are doing great,” the singer told the publication.

Gilbert was eager to meet his daughter after an emotional gender reveal party back in March.

“Oh, I cried!” Gilbert shared after learning a daughter was on the way. “I was so sure it was a boy. I wasn’t ready for it to be a little girl — and man, when it was! I just wanted a healthy, happy baby, but a little girl means a whole other deal.”

“I am just mush with Barrett,” he added. “But I’m getting to where I’m okay letting him tough it out. I think a girl is going to be a whole new level of everything, and I’m ready. I already know she’s gonna own me, and that’s okay.”

Braylen is the second child for the couple and joins big brother Barrett Hardy-Clay, 22 months.

In addition to having a new baby at home, the country crooner has a lot on his plate in the coming months. On October 4, he’ll release his highly-anticipated new album, Fire & Brimstone, and embark on the Fire’t Up Tour in January. He’s currently nominated for Musical Event of the Year at the 2019 CMA Awards for his collaboration with Lindsay Ell, “What Happens in a Small Town.”
