Brett Eldredge is teaming up with T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods and some fellow artists for the #CarolForACause campaign this holiday season. The campaign will find Eldredge, Meghan Trainor, Brandy, Andy Grammer, Sofia Reyes, Pentatonix, and Ally Brooke posting to Instagram reels and singing their favorite Christmas songs to benefit Feeding America.

Each week, a new artist will take their turn to post their Christmas song, starting with Trainor on November 17 and running through December 27. Fans and social media users are encouraged to record their own #CarolForACause videos as well, and for each video posted with the hashtag from a public account, T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods will donate $10 to Feeding America, up to $1 million. For Eldredge, joining #CarolForACause served as the perfect way to give back after what has been a hard year for many.

“It’s been a strange year and the reality is the holidays may look a little different for everyone this year, but the magic of the season shouldn’t be any different,” he told Sounds Like Nashville. “I’m happy to be able to partner with T.J.Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods, who are spreading holiday cheer and giving back to those that really need it right now!”

Not only does the #CarolForACause campaign give to those who need it this Christmas, but it does so through the uniting art form of music, which is something Eldredge can personally get behind. The singer is excited to encourage fans to join the cause as well.

“2020 has shown us all that we’re stronger together,” he says. “Music brings me a lot of optimism in tough times and I hope it can do the same for others. The fact that I get to make people smile, bring out some holiday spirit and do it to help to provide meals for people across the United States, is really incredible. All you have to do is record a carol, post it to Instagram Reels with the hashtag #CarolForACause and $10 will be donated to Feeding America on behalf of the brands.”

While Eldredge did not reveal which Christmas song he will choose for his #CarolForACause video, he did share some of the songs he’ll be listening to and singing as the holiday season approaches.

“‘White Christmas’ is hard to beat, I feel that song can transport me to a magical dreamland in a few magical Christmas seconds,” he says. “‘The Christmas Song,’ Nat King Cole’s version is like butter on a Christmas biscuit, it couldn’t be more comforting. ‘Let it Snow,’ the energy of this song makes me want to dance and act like a Christmas fool.”
