Just days after announcing that he and his wife would welcome a baby girl into the world, singer Brett Young learned that he had earned his fifth No.1 single with “Here Tonight.”

The track will spend a second week in the top spot Billboard Country Chart, while also peaking at No.1 on the Mediabase/Country Airplay chart this week.

“We wanted to write a song about living in the moment and trying to enjoy WHAT is happening, WHILE it’s happening,” said Young of the song he wrote alongside Ben Caver, Justin Ebach and Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley. “That’s very much what I’m trying to do right now. I don’t think it’s fully sunk in yet that this is my fifth number one, it’s an incredible feeling and I’m beyond grateful.”

Kelley is beyond grateful for the chart-topper as a songwriter, sharing a photo of his collaborators on Instagram.

“Cheers to your #1 @brettyoungmusic! You’re crushing it out there. #songwriters,” he wrote.

“Here Tonight” is the lead single from Young’s sophomore album, Ticket to L.A. The project debuted atop the Billboard Country Albums chart and is the follow-up to his wildly successful self-titled debut. The singer will bring the track out on the road opening for Kelsea Ballerini’s Miss Me More Tour, as well as performing it at festivals including CMA Music Festival, Country LakeShake, Faster Horses Festival and more.
