Country star Brett Young is getting back on the road in a big way this fall, announcing a lengthy new trek titled The Weekends Tour.

Beginning September 11 with a two-night stand in Fort Worth, Texas, the tour will feature stops in 33 cities in all, with Young hitting amphitheaters and other large-scale venues from coast to coast and into Canada. Special guests include Maddie & Tae and Filmore, with Ryan Hurd and Matt Ferranti appearing on select shows — but while it’s more evidence of the live-concert industry’s return, this is no run-of-the-mill tour announcement.

The news comes as the hit maker preps for the June 4 launch of his new album, Weekends Look a Little Different These Days, and marks a personal milestone. Young was only a few dates into his first headlining arena tour when the pandemic forced artists off the road, and he says getting back onstage means more than ever.

“Announcing a headlining tour and preparing to release new music both in the same week truly feels like a dream and something I won’t ever take for granted,” Brett Young says in an official statement. “It’s emotional thinking about reuniting not only with my band and crew after so much time apart, but with the FANS! I can’t wait to make up for lost time and finally get to perform these new ones we’ve been working on.”

Complete dates and details for Brett Young’s The Weekends Tour are below. His current single is the uptempo romantic, “Not Yet,” and he and wife Taylor are expecting the birth of their second daughter this summer.
