Brett Young Shares His 2020 New Year’s Resolution
Brett Young performs “This Christmas” at the 2019 “CMA Country Christmas” special filmed at Belmont’s Curb Center in Nashville, Tennessee. “CMA Country Christmas” will air on Tuesday, December 3 on ABC.

Brett Young has plenty to thankful for this holiday season, having welcomed the birth of baby girl Presley Elizabeth on October 21. So when it comes to making resolutions for 2020, his frame of mind should come as no huge surprise. (Hint: It’s all about his girls.)

“There won’t be a resolution that doesn’t involve being a better dad,” Young tells Sounds Like Nashville. “So musically, if I can find a way to be called last or bring her out on the road more, that’ll be it. I love what I do for living. I love that it provides for this beautiful new family, but I don’t want to miss out on a single time.”

Young knows that’s a lot to ask since his career is currently growing just as fast as little Presley. But family comes first for the “Here Tonight” hitmaker, and he already seems to have his dad priorities in order.

“I don’t think there is an actual balance,” he admits. “But [it’s about] doing our best to find one or something similar that works so I don’t have to miss watching her grow up.”

Young’s latest romantic single, “Catch,” is out now, and he’ll kick off the new year headlining The Chapters Tour with Matt Ferranti.
