Brooke Eden and Girlfriend Star In ‘Got No Choice’ Music Video

Brooke Eden has released the third song in her reintroduction series with “Got No Choice.” In the upbeat, soulful tune, Eden sings of having “no choice” but to fall in love with a partner. In the bright music video, Eden personifies these lyrics starring alongside her girlfriend Hilary, as they spend time together on a lake. The video follows the couple as they spend time on a boat and swim in the lake, and they also take a ride on a car boat, which wasn’t included in the original video plans.
“Fun story…we did not at all plan to have the car boat (amphi-car) in the video,” Eden wrote on Instagram at the time of the video release. “Larry and his red amphibious vehicle were just rolling down the lake and we thought it was so cool and asked if he’d want to be a part. He was in and the rest is history and one of our favorite parts of the video.”
The video also serves to provide resources for LGBTQ+ youth. At the end of the video, an informational message is shown about The Trevor Project, an organization that provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ individuals.
“As happy as we are now, it wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows,” reads the message. “If you’re not there yet, it’s ok — you’re not alone!”
“Got No Choice,” was the third song in Eden’s reintroduction, which also included “No Shade” and “Sunroof.” All three music videos starred Eden and Hilary together. The songs serve as the first batch of music since her 2016 EP, Welcome to the Weekend, and her 2017 single, “Act Like You Don’t.” Eden shared her story about leaving a bad relationship, coming out, and introducing her girlfriend to the world in a video she posted to Instagram in January.
