Brooks & Dunn to Receive NASH Icon Award at 2016 American Country Countdown Awards

Superstar duo Brooks & Dunn will be honored at next month’s 2016 American Country Countdown Awards.

The duo will receive the NASH Icon Award Presented by Ford F-Series. Reba, who was the recipient of the NASH Icon Award in 2014, will present Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks with the honor.

“Brooks & Dunn have indelibly etched their legacy as the biggest-selling duo in country music history,” said executive producer Mark Bracco. “Their outstanding career achievements have influenced legions of artists and fans alike, and we’re proud to recognize their tremendous success and ongoing musical impact with this well-deserved award.”

“Many Ford customers – especially our F-Series truck customers – are fans of country music,” said Matt McDonnell, Ford Truck Experiential Marketing Manager. “Country music is part of Ford’s heritage, and we are pleased to support the Nash Icon Award Presented by Ford F-Series and this incredible showcase of talent.”

The NASH Icon Award is presented to an artist whose talent has influenced generations of musicians and honors their accomplishments.

Previously announced performers include Florida Georgia LineThomas Rhett, Carrie UnderwoodLuke BryanKelsea Ballerini, Cam, Dan + Shay, Sam Hunt, Martina McBride and Cole Swindell.

The two-hour 2016 ACCAs will air live on FOX on Sunday May 1 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), and will take place at The Forum in Inglewood, CA. The show’s host and additional performers will be announced soon.

The American Country Countdown Awards honors country music’s biggest artists based on album sales and radio airplay. Winners for all categories are based on radio airplay charts, sales and streaming data from April 1, 2015 to March 28, 2016, provided by BuzzAngle Music. Touring data is provided by Pollstar’s “The Concert Hotwire.”
