“Every Little Thing” hit maker Carly Pearce is helping the put country’s deep roots in perspective with a new video project. Titled Unbroken Circle: Exploring Country Music History With Carly Pearce, the four-episode series explores the connections between past, present and future at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Along with Grand Ole Opry member Jeannie Seely, songwriter Emily Shackelton, producer busbee and Pearce’s fellow star (and fiancé), Michael Ray, Pearce takes viewers on an in-depth trip through the Hall of Fame’s famous exhibits … and then goes deeper.

She gets to sift through time itself in the Frist Library and Archives, scouring original documents like the Dolly Parton’s handwritten lyrics for “Jolene,” and visit the birthplace of classic hits by Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and more at historic RCA Studio B. Along the way she sings some incredible tunes, and it’s all meant to enrich fans’ understanding of where they’re favorite music came from … as well as why we should keep some traditions alive.

“It’s our new duty, as the next generation of country music artists, to preserve country music history and tradition,” Pearce says. “I couldn’t have been more honored to join the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in exploring this rich lineage of our genre alongside some of my favorite collaborators.”

All four episodes are available now through the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s YouTube channel, with about an hour’s worth of behind-the-history footage on tap. The series was produced as a compliment to the Museum’s ongoing American Currents exhibit, which every year showcases a sampling of items from today’s rising stars in the broader context of country history.
