Carly Pearce celebrated her dog, June’s, first birthday this week, and she went all out for the party. In photos posted to Instagram, Pearce and June smile for the camera (both wearing party hats), with a “Happy Birthday” banner in the background. The second photo of the post shows Pearce and June with another shih tzu dog, which Pearce says is June’s brother Johnny, and the singer’s cat, Emmylou, June’s “sister.” All the animals pose with Pearce dressed up in party gear looking ready to enjoy the birthday treats on the table.

“HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO MY GIRL,” wrote Pearce. “I can’t even begin to explain how much joy you’ve brought me over the last year. Swipe right to see the birthday party I threw her this week with brother Johnny & Sister Emmylou (yes I’m officially THAT dog mom!)”

Pearce adopted June, whose full name is June Jolene Pearce, last summer, a few weeks after news broke about her divorce from fellow country singer, Michael Ray. Pearce introduced the new addition with a cute selfie of herself and the pup, writing, “”Hi. Meet June.” Pearce has also been seen getting together with friend Lindsay Ell and her dog Hendrix for dog dates.

“When your mamas are besties, you become instant besties,” Pearce wrote in an Instagram post from their January hang out.

“Girls day. June and Hendrix are officially BFFs like their moms,” added Ell in a separate Instagram photo of the four of them.

Pearce has had a busy 2021 so far with the release of her album, 29, in February. The singer and Lee Brice are also set to perform their No. 1 duet, “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” at the Academy of Country Music Awards this Sunday, April 18 on CBS. The track won the duo an early ACM Award as they were revealed as the winners for Music Event of the Year. Pearce is also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Single of the Year.
