Carly Pearce Calls Gwen Stefani ‘One of the Most Down-to-Earth People’
Pearce also revealed that Stefani looks glam 24/7 no matter where she is.
For Carly Pearce, one of the major perks of booking the Country Music Freaks Tour with Blake Shelton was the opportunity to hang out with No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani.
Growing up as a fan of her music, Pearce snuck in some time to get to know Stefani when the country singer wasn’t rocking out on stage. She fan-girled when the two finally met up, but Pearce was pleasantly surprised to find that Stefani was just as chill and laid-back as anyone else.
“I did get to hang out with her some. She is as awesome and as rocker, bad girl as you would think. But also, one of the most down-to-earth people in the whole world. She and Blake were so kind to me. They definitely just gave me a lot of advice as a young, new artist and told me about their journeys and she’s just as cool as you would think,” Pearce admitted to Sounds Like Nashville and other media at an event.
Not only does Pearce admire Stefani’s career, but she also considered asking for some style advice from the fashionista herself. In the end, the “Every Little Thing” singer didn’t find a chance to chat about haute couture, but she did spill that what you see is what you get in the trendiest way with Stefani.
“I didn’t ask. I was too scared. But I will say, Gwen Stefani looks just like that when she’s rolling out her bus at 10 a.m. on the Blake Shelton tour as she does on stage. So, she’s never not Gwen Stefani,” Pearce gushed over the pop singer.
